If you’re in the mood to improve, here are just a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing.

Bi-fold doors
Opening up the rear of your house using bi-fold doors can be a lovely way to extend your living space into your garden during summer. Think long summer evenings, candles on the patio and a relaxing glass of wine as the sun goes down.

A conservatory is a wonderful way to add to your living space and can make a delightful summer hide-out. Fill it with comfy sofas and piles of magazines to make a peaceful haven to relax in.

And don’t worry about being too hot or too cold as the seasons change. New advancements in glazing mean that you can now choose special coatings for your glass that reflect heat away in summer and retain heat in winter. There’s also a fantastic range of roof and window blinds available these days to keep your conservatory at the perfect temperature all year round.

An extension in time for summer can be a daunting prospect, but it can be worth it! Rear kitchen extensions with French windows can be a great way to expand your living space and improve access to your garden. Extending out to the side of your property and including a glass roof or skylights can also be an excellent way to bring more space and light to your home in summer.
