Commuting from Lois Weedon

From the village of Lois Weedon, there is good access to the main arterial roads including the A43, A5, M1 motorway at junction 15a and the M40, with train stations at Milton Keynes and Northampton offering services to London Euston with journey times of around 35 and 50 minutes respectively. Sporting activities in the area include golf at Whittlebury Hall (alongside the award-winning Spa) & Farthingstone, sailing at Draycote water, Pitsford and Hollowell Reservoirs, horse racing at Towcester and of course for motor sports enthusiasts, F1, F3, MotoGP, Rallycross and all other motor racing can be seen at the world famous Silverstone race circuit just 8 miles away.

The Garden, Yard & Paddocks

Addington Equestrian is 38 minutes away and is where team GBR chose as one of their training venues for the final preparations for London 2012 Olympics. For the cross-country riding enthusiasts, MK Equestrian is 45 minutes away where you can hire the course privately. Both Addington Equestrian and MK Equestrian have a full programme of events and welcome new enthusiasts. A favourite hacking spot of the present owners, Silverstone Woods, is a mere 24 minutes’ drive and allows for some wonderful riding through the forests. As you would expect with such facilities at close proximity, the area is well supported by numerous, highly regarded equine vets.
